Saturday 27th May - 12pm
Saturday 28th May - 2pm Llanbadarn Village, Aberystwyth
We're pitting the crop of the Tour Series professionals against all comers, on the notorious 25% Cefn Llan hill.
Riders will start in pairs (32 max) with each winner progressing to the next round, with a Plate competition for the losers and categories for youths, vets and ladies too. Plate prize winner will recive £100.
The Cup winner will win £500, and they will need to show an immense power surge to succeed.
The climb, pronounced 'Kevn Llan', meaning 'Back of the Church' is a 200 metre monster, with a gradient of 25% and by far the steepest climb in the locality. Riders will start at the junction with Primrose Hill at the bottom, and ride to the finish line just prior to the entrance to Aberystwyth Science Park at the top.
Hill climb specialists are notorious for saving weight on their machines, down to the last gram. That’s why EDCO have developed their Supersport series of wheels which combine their superlight 9k/8mm twill weave carbon rims, carbon spokes and their Swiss made Victory hubs. The Neggia model in tubular format weighs in at just 950g for the pair! Visit them at www.edco-wheels.co.uk
