Road Closures - Tour Series

00:00 to 23:59

Aber Cycle Fest Criteriums & The Pearl Izumi Tour Series

On Friday 26th May 2016, the roads in Red and Green on the map above will be closed to vehicles between the hours of 06.00 27th May and 02.00 on Saurday 27th under a Ceredigion County Council Special Events Permit.

Road closures will be in force from 00.00 on Friday 26th May. Access to Pier Street and Great Darkgate Street will remain until 13.00. After that time, the closure of surrounding streets will mean that the west side of Eastgate Street and Pier Street will no longer be accessible. Upper Bridge Street & Great Darkgate Street will be restricted to the diversion route via Market St. We therefore ask that any HGV deliveries are completed by 13.00. White vans will be fine to access via Eastgate and Market Street, during this period.

Re-opening of routes will commence as soon as the last race has finished 21.00, with all routes open by 02.00 on Saturday May 28th.

A parking restriction will also be in place on Thursday 26th May from 08.30 affecting Seaview Place, St Michael’s Place and Upper Great Darkgate St. Ceredigion County Council will again be providing parking permits to those residents affected within these streets to park at South Promenade car park.

All public footpaths will remain open and the course will contain numerous allocated marshaled crossing points for you to use, which will be clearly marked. Dyfed Powys Police will be on hand to assist with logistics during the day.

Saturday’s mountain bike event will have a road closure in place at Victoria Terrace from Victoria House up to Alexandra Hall. No vehicles will be permitted here between 00.00 to 20.00 on Saturday 27th May.
